The collections presented on the first day of Feeric Fashion Week’s 10th edition were hosted by Jidvei Wine, the main partner of the event. Geta Marin was Key Hair Stylist of the event in collaboration with GHD Romania and WELLA Professionals.
Irina Duţu Zgâia presented a collection inspired by “Alice in the Wonderland” at the Tăuni Winery, Jidvei domains, the largest graving cellar in Europe and the only one of its kind in Romania. Irina graduated UAD Fashion University from Cluj-Napoca, clothing design department, and she has a special interest in deconstructed forms and prefers techniques that involve manual intervention. She loves reading stories for children, and from this magic, she is inspired to create. The SS18 collection presented at Tăuni Winery is called “As mad as a hatter” and contains 18 looks. “In my collection,you can recognize Alice with oversized bands, the Crazy Hare with the typical British eccentricity, the White Rabbit constantly watching the pocket watch, the Rough and Sober Time, and the Red Heart Queen. The collection is meant to be a celebration of the beautiful madness of each of us, being the result of a serious adult work that every day enjoys the fact that its childhood has survived, “said Irina Duţu Zgâia.




The second day of Feeric Fashion Week began with a spectacular show by Nous Mode on the lake of ZOO Garden from Sibiu, then at the Redal Expo, with presentations of those who follow the studies at UAD Fashion University from Cluj-Napoca. The one that opened the series was Evelyn Lorincz, with “Notorious” SS18 collection that is defined by elegance, art and glitter addressed to young nonconformists. Ana Barbosu continued the series of the shows with a collection for the whole new generation, which included army influences and green shades with subliminal messages. The white and blue stripes also dominated the Feeric Venue, where Maria Catalina Culda presented her works whose key points is the digital continuity, then Sorana Oltean, inspired by the hip-hop culture, brought a collection that wants to mark the attitude. The latest fashion show at Redal Expo belonged to Diana Dobrescu, whose concept was based on “the month in the last square meter”.







The third day of the most important fashion event from Eastern Europe began at the stone quarry ‘’Turnu Rosu’’, which became a wild podium for designers supported and promoted by The Secret Code of Fashion Agency, an international platform for young designers by Myra Postolache, a specialist in international public relations, based in Milan, dealing with organizing events based on fashion research. The fashion show presented by seven new talents from different parts of the world, took place in the stone quarry at the foot of the mountains was remarked with light red, pale pink and neon yellow shades, worn by both female and male mannequins.



Andrada Bodea, part of TSCOF New Talents Platform won a full scholarship offered by IED Milano for ‘’Italian DNA’’ competition. The fashion event then moved, almost 50 kilometers from Sibiu, in another fairy place, the Transylvanian Hobbit Castle built out with clay and sand at Porumbacu de Sus village. Modement’s SS18 collection has been marked by minimal cuts that have faithfully inspired from Asian culture. The brand, based in Hong Kong, was officially launched in 2013 at Hong Kong Fashion Week.




The fourth day of the most important fashion festival in Eastern Europe has brought new surprises. The first show belonged to the famous romanian designer Bianca Popp, who presented the FW17 collection on the music of the Academy of Land Forces Academy “Nicolae Bălcescu” in Sibiu, institution that also made the decoration of the fashion event at the Boromir factory, a decoration loaded with military elements like army vehicles or combat equipment. The collection included looks for both genres, men and women, creative monochrome patterns that followed architectural lines and volumes, being made up of unconventional materials.



Then, the love story of Charles & Ron designers from malta was translated into the “Amare Argentum”, FW17 collection inspired of Maltese culture, and presented inside the Boromir Factory on the production line of the candy puffs. The two designers celebrate 25 years since they met and became a couple. “This collection is meant to inspire customers, to be part of our love story and to love the Mediterranean style and Malta, the country where our love was born and our fashion house is,” said the two designers. The collection features a vast palette of colors inspired by the Mediterranean sunset and has been accessorized with jewelry or feathers. Charles and Ron also created their shoes, boots, belt and leather bags to which they added wooden jewelry.


One of the interesting fashion shows, brought by IED Milano to Romania, was signed by Danila Olivieri, Stefano Sberze and Elisa Mazza, three designers who reunited their forces in 2011 in Turin three years after completing the studies of the European Fashion Institute in Milan. Minimal To was born from the constant observation of the society in constant change. “Natural fabrics and techniques are made in a surreal atmosphere. Design conveys the desire for a stronger link between clothing and the person wearing it, through meticulous research of forms and body analysis, “the three designers say.


The fifth day of the 2017 edition of Feeric Fashion Week brought fashion presentations to the baron Brukenthal’s summer residence in Avrig, in the Village Museum, where the guests visited the old village of Sibiu and the models were dressed in the collections signed by Lavinia Ilieş And Sebastian Roncea, and more historical places such as the Stairs Passage. The fifth day began with an elegant and refined collection, signed by Cylia Dorra. The event took place at 14 o’clock in the courtyard of the Brukenthal summer palace in Avrig, where the models featured the Lebanese designer’s dresses, made of tulle, silk and other fine materials.








Bianca Popp has also brought the SS18 collection at Feeric Venue, which talks about vain desires. The color palette was in pastel tones and fine fabrics.


Adriana Goilav opened the sixth day of Feeric Fashion Week at CFR Depot. Presented in a totally different environment, between old trains and railways, the “transMORPHer” collection of the Romanian designer was put to the value of ECCO shoes and presented a way of ascending but also descending ascents and descents of what we see and do not see. The accessories were signed by Woven Atelier. The live scene was colored at 17 o’clock from the exit of Sibiu to Rasinari, where the models dressed in the collection signed by Sarah Jessy Jones could be admired in the middles of a forest, to which the audience was reached the tram.




The 10th edition of Feeric Fashion Week, the biggest fashion event in Eastern Europe hosted over 30 designers from the country and abroad. All the designers presented their latest collections, which surprised by their diversity and originality, in the most spectacular locations in Sibiu County and beyond. Gala Feeric, originally scheduled in the Small Square and moved, due to the unfriendly weather at Redal Expo, featured six fashion shows. The hosts of the event were Cosmina Păsărin and Derek Warburton, the international ambassador of the tenth edition of Feeric Fashion Week, for the first time in Romania. Derek Warburton is the owner and creative director of Lapalme Magazine, distributed on both coasts of America, especially in New York and Los Angeles. She has also collaborated with various international stars, such as the Beyoncé singer.
